Do we know whether Gary double tracked or double stopped the verses (I've only ever heard it done once before and it's way beyond me).

Gary didnt double track it but he added a harmony track similar to the way Hank's original was made.
We used the TVS3 to get that vintage sound and the echo came from an early Vox Long Tom patch on the TVS3.

Something I've always wanted to do is play Jessica with a second guitar the original Allman Brothers way - complete with the piano solo in the bridge.

Someone, many years ago, posted a version of Jessica with both parts claiming to have double stopped the verses. I think I've still got it, but it wasn't as good as this version of Gary's.
