APACHE-FINAL TOUR version (Live video)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DDo7vy57Q0c

I’m never very good on video but here is the SM Forum debut of the all time classic Shadows tune – APACHE to a brand new backing track. This version is based on the 2004/5 FINAL TOUR arrangement.
The superb BT is by those good guys of our SM Forum, Andy and Phil McGarrick, and is absolutely brilliant to play to. I am so thankful to them for all the hard work it takes to produce BTs of this quality. The version you can hear on the video was NOT yet fully mixed down.
Recorded at Warwick on Sunday 16th May 2010.
House rig – Zoom2000 – Ace Award Session.
Cheers
Ian

Superb Ian ! You did a great job- excellent playing and no sign of nervs.
I think you're a natural at these videos - Amazing what can be recorded on a mobile phone !
Sorry the BT took a while to finish -
Cheers Phil

Hi Keith and Phil
I was using the Warwick Clubs backline - Ian McC's Zoom2000EFTP (Setting No1) into Ace Award Session amp. I think the sound came out quite well considering my good friend Charles Campbell (Geronimo7476) shot it on his mobile phone!! Well Done Charles!! Quality video in such a small package.
Wish I could get away with buying a Q2 but Austerity beckons - LOL!
Phil - No sign of nerves? What do you think that bum chord was ??! Remember the story of the duck - beneath that serene exterior lies some frantic paddling. :D That was me at Warwick.
It was SO worthwhile waiting for the BT - such a good piece of work all round - and Andy was so patient working through my snag list until it was just "so".
cheers

Hi Ian,

I don't really think that you did a bad job of the video at all. However, recording live can be a huge test, can't it? Every mistake is there for all to see. I only heard one glitch and I think you heard it too and grimaced slightly at that point. However, that was very minor and represents one of the perils of playing live I guess. You played Apache well with a very good sound. The BT was also very good. Another top effort from you Ian. :D :D :D

Regards,
Len

Hi Len
You heard right! The problem with "live" and video is that you cant go back and punch out the error!! LOL!!
The BT is top drawer stuff.
I was not in control of the sound - that was down to the excellent Warwick CLub backline. As I'm using my Brason Strat which is based on the HBM 40th Anniversary I would expect a more "modern" Hank sound - a la 2004/5 FT - and I think it works out pretty well.
cheers
