I find it extremely useful when folk provide brief descriptions of their recording setup - guitar, pickups, echo unit, amp and/or recording software etc and the origins of their chosen backing track. I feel it helps to know how it was done so I and many others can be guided accordingly. For example a really good echo effect could be down to a specific device, the smooth sound may be the pickups or a particularly accurate version might simply be a setting on a Tonelab, Quadraverb etc - you can hopefully see how this would be useful to other members struggling to create a specific tone or echo etc.

I appreciate not everyone has the time or inclination to do this but if you've made the effort to make and post a recording I wouldn't have thought it too irksome to add a brief 'ow I dunnit' recipe for us rabble wot sits yer and lizzens to et - oops . . . obviously been living in Devon too long . . .
