MERMAID BEACH

My good friend Ian introduced me to the music of Martin Cilia, I didn't know what I was missing all these years! I just fell in love with his style.
I just had to record Mermaid Beach. It may differ in a few places but I love these riffs, I've always used them in my playing and occassionally in my recordings. To record this with a full BT would surely take away the magic that Martin created with this tune.
I used my 'pavement special' strat with Kinman pickups as I didn't want any noise in the quieter parts.
I hope you enjoy my interpretation of 'Mermaid Beach'

Hi Charles
We are just back from a week on the Surf beaches of West Wales – Newgale, South Haven and Druidstone in stunningly sunny weather so to hear this version of “Mermaid Beach” is just BRILLIANT!!!
What a gorgeous sound from the “pavement Strat” - clean as a whistle. Mind you, on split neck and middle the 82 would have been equally as quiet, as using the two together makes it a “humbucker”.
You know what a fan I am of Martins work and surely he would approve of this sound file – I know I do
cheers
Ian

Thank You very much Ian, and especially for the intro to this beautiful music.
There's something for you in your email, (unrelated to this file)
Cheers CC
