Hi Friends,

another one for my collection of seldom covered Shadows. I loved to play the guitar clean to show the original sound of the BURNS.

I hope some of you will like it.

Hi Ernst,

I apologise for taking so long to respond to your post but though I could download it, unfortunately, I could not play it because it is an ".flv" file and it doesn't play in Window Media Player. I have now had a chance to listen to it again (using another program) and I like it. As a matter of fact, I have been working on 'Holy Cow' myself on and off, and might post it one day when I have become a little more proficient with the quick changes required.

I think that you probably used Goran Tangring's BT for that one from what I can tell. I noticed the "glitch" at around 2:07 which was on that BT and in his own recording. I have managed to modify that offending section this morning, using my daughter's keyboard. I can send you a copy if you wish by posting it in my 4-Shared file and emailing the link to you. You also may remember a few weeks ago that I expressed interest in the backing tracks that you had managed to remove Hank on using Audacity (I think it was that program). I would be interesting in knowing which ones you had some success with as this may prove useful to me later on. That could be included in the email correspondence. That is if you want to allow that to happen.

Once again, my apologies for being so late in responding with my comments. I am nearing the end of 2 weeks work leave and am starting to catch up with a few things that I needed to do along with some of the things my wife wanted me to do (not as many as I should have completed of either :( though).

Just let me know if you want any follow up on all this. My email is len_sor@optusnet.com.au . If not using the link, note the underscore between the 'n' and the 's'.

Your rendition has a great overall sound. I think the Burns sounds good with that one. I suspect that The Shadows would have used a Burns too during the period that 'Holy Cow' came out. I thought that you played it really well :D -- and I do know how difficult it is to play.

Cheers,
Len
