Hi All,

This time I put in a beautifull number from Sting. The title of the song is "Fields of Gold".
BT was from Tony Kiek.

Please enjoy my version

Cheers

Fred

Hi Fred,

That was a nice rendition of a great tune. I first heard Hank play it on the Guitar Man CD and Tommy Emmanuel also plays an instrumental version. Cliff Richard sings a vocal duet on 'Two's Company: The Duets' with Barry Gibb - a very interesting interpretation with the inclusion of a short guitar solo. I read somewhere just recently how Hank thinks there was a bit of sameness about the tune as an instrumental and how he found it difficult for him to vary the sound on the 'Guitar Man' CD. If that is correct then you certainly had the challenge in front of you. Despite all that, I thought that you did well with your performance of the piece. The tone and the sound were right and you did a marvellous job with it, injecting as much variation possible with a single guitar by varying pickup selections and registers. I enjoyed listening to your sound file and appreciate the work you must have put into the piece. It certainly shows. I also liked the way that you didn't overplay by allowing the excellent backing track to have some time too. Well done Fred. :D

Regards,
Len
