Lost Love

I hope that I'll be forgiven for posting a soundfile that is somewhat removed from a Shadows style instrumental, but whilst looking for another number to record I came across this one recorded by Rhett Stoller. (of "Chariot" fame)

I guess that this was a 'B' side on one of his singles.

I took a liking to the tune and arrangement which seemed to suit the title. I hope that you enjoy it - any comments welcome.

Hi Roger
Superb track - what a Smoocher!!
Rhet Stoller was the guy who wrote the "Match Of The Day" theme tune for the BBC sports prog!!
I enjoyed that guitar tone - very deep and lush - 400 maybe?
An excellent job, Roger.
cheers
Ian

Glad that you liked it Ian. I used my DeAmond Starfire to get a thicker tone from its humbuckers (neck pickup)

That's interesting to hear that Rhett Stoller wrote "Match of the Day" - I know that he had a group for a while that backed Jess Conrad.

Class Roger.... The cymbals sound a little 'snatched' to me at the top of the track...but that is probably how you wanted them. Like the snare though.

Guitar tone is truly wonderful - and played with such beautiful touch and grace.

Not worthy...

Tony.

Thanks for your comments Tony and Ecca. I'm glad that you liked it.

My intention was to keep to the same feel and arrangement of the original, so the voicing of the cymbals was a direct result of that.

Hi Roger,

I've heard the name Rhet Stoller but I don't know the tune. What a great piece of music it is though. I loved it and you played it well with your usual taste and skill. Thanks for sharing that one Roger. I have really enjoyed listening to it over the last few days. :D

Cheers,
Len

Hi Roger,
Nice to see you at Shadowmania - sorry we didn't get much time to chat.
Down to this song - I thought it was really good, not a song I know, but I do now ! - You chose the right guitar and tone
A Jazzy feel, really layed back and of course played to perfection.

Cheers Phil
