Hi Friends

Here is another one from Paul that has just been put on the TVS website @

Click on JukeBox button and scroll to the last tune. For quick results hold on to the down arrow with your mouse.

Just as a matter of interest I have attached a small sample comparison between the original and Paul's version.

The first 2 bars Hank, the second 2 bars are Paul's, third 2 bars Hank, fourth 2 bars Paul and final 4 bars Hank.

Keeping in mind:

Different guitar, different pickups, different strings, different microphone, different amplifier, different speaker, different studio, different desk, different recording medium, different player and recorded 49 years apart!

Cheers

I would say it's pretty well indistinguishable!

Thanks Victor

However some people have said there are small differences.

For me personally if its that close it doesnt matter as Hank will play the tune differently each time and it will sound different for him each time.
I just wanted to get other peoples opinion but I do agree with you...its pretty much indistinguishable.

I appreciate your time to comment!

Hi Spiro,

Very close to original indeed. I guess the compression was used on the guitar for this tune?

Well done to Paul!

Robby

Hi Robby...thank you for your support!

I dont think Paul used any more compression than normal. I think most of his natural compression came from overdriving the TVS3.
However for his recording on Atlantis he did use a lot of extra compression.

Cheers and thanks for your email :D

Hi Spike
I listened to it before I read the note above and I didn't notice any changes or variations in the sound at all.
So it's spot on to my ears. Well done to Paul.
Cheers Phil
