Moonlight Shadow (video)

One of my favourite Shadows tunes. It’s from the album” Moonlight Shadows” from 1986
This is the album that re-kindled my interest in the Shadows in the late 80’s – I bought the album in a secondhand CD shop and really glad I did.
The Backing track is on “Casting a Shadow” CD and available from Leo’s Den here http://www.rhis.co.uk/cgi-bin/cart.pl?d ... chant=leos
I bought the Tablature from Steve Gibb as it saves ages trying to work it out myself – Here is the link http://www.bbigmusic.com/bbigmusic/Cast ... hadow.html
I used my Alan Brason custom strat with Kinman FV-HMS Neck Avn-63 Middle Avn-63 Bridge Avn-64 Into Alesis Quadraverb Q2 programmed with echoes from the past (EFTP) Patch 0-35. Then into M-Audio Delta 1010 sound card and into Cubase.
Hope you like “Moonlight Shadow”... Phil

Magic stuff, Phil.   On the Hot Seat again, I see.
Exemplary work as always.
Its one of those tunes that I can play - er - up to 2.10 and then its "Oh Well" and I put the guitar back on its stand :)
Oddly enough "Moonlight Shadows" is the very album that got me interested in them again. It was the first CD I bought in 2004 when I started playing. Despite it being an oft slagged "covers" CD I enjoy almost every track on it. Especially the "Hey Jude" which as an arrangement has a definite Warren influence to my ears.
Anyway enough of that - its a great track with superb tone and timing from you.
Well worth spending Saturday night listening to.
Cheers
Grandad Ian

Thank you Ian - I was mad keen on the Shadows in the 60's when I was first learning the guitar then
through the 70's I felt I should be into Led Zeppelin and gave up on the Shadows until the late 80's when I had "Matured " LOL - I still find it hard to believe how good you can play after 6 or 7 years.
Thank you very much for your comment ... one grandad to another,
Cheers Phil

Hi Lynn, I saw Bruce Welch's Shadows play it at Shadowmania in Sept
which gave the inspiration to give it a go. Many thanks for listening and your comment.
Cheers Phil

Hi Phill,
That was just First Class, I have tried so many times to learn that number but the old fingers are no fast enough and I really enjoy listening to you playing it so well.

All the Best ,

Eric.
