Many thanks for all the positive comments to both this video and the one I did for The Stranger. I have to confess I was a little disappointed to note that someone gave it, The Stranger, a "thumbs down" / "didn't like" review although all the text comments both here and on the YouTube posting have been very positive. I am always prepared for criticism, after all it is how we improve, but wonder what attracted that particular "review". I know because a number of videos I posted were of Big Jim Sullivan, taken from the DVD I produced for him back in 2002, I think it was, have attracted a considerable number of views, comments and attracted a number of people to "subscribe" to my "channel". I can only assume someone attracted by those videos and Jim's brilliant playing judged my own performances in comparison and possibly isn't a Shads fan!! Hey ho!

Considering some of the moronic comments on You Tube, you're lucky! Goodness knows why some people feel the need to write some of the stuff they do. So don't worry about it, Brian, the playing and everything was top drawer!

I think both The Stranger and Brazil were excellant(I made the first comment on The Stranger) and am surprised at a 'thumbs down' but I suppose these facilities are there to give you some feedback to your efforts. You cant please everybody, although why they just put a thumbs down and not explain what they dont like about it puzzled me somewhat.
I've got a few on youtube and none as good as yours imo, I have'nt had any negative comments so far(dont know why) but it just goes to show that you should just take the negativity with a pinch of salt and just enjoy what you are doing.
By the way, there are quite a lot of videos on there with guys playing Burns guitars and nowwhere near as good a sound as yours
As Noel says, there are a lot of morons out there that seem to obtain great satisfaction slagging off good players who have the guts to post their music for all to hear. I've never seen any of these idiots posting their own stuff. Wonder why
