Sleepwalk (Ampworks + psp608)
Posted: 06 Oct 2009, 13:25Here is another example of the sound you can get through Korg Ampworks (which I discovered and purchased through my good friend and fellow Hankie, Ecca , or his evil twin 
I don't know exactly which). I use an altered AC15 setting, with maximum mids and minimum trebs and bass. The VST plugins I used were: psp608 for echo, psp Tube Warmer for . . . erm, tube warmth, the phenomenal Wow and Flutter plugin, and a plugin called "Imperfection" to add the necessary "dirt" (not only to please Dave Robbo 
). At the end I added just a wee bit of plate reverb. Again, the thing to remember here is that this sound file was made with only a very cheap amp emulation thingy (Ampworks) and a guitar. All the rest is computer software. Of course this is not an arrangement for gigging (although it could be), but for us bedroom players, I think its pretty good (even if I have to say so myself )
