I recorded a practice session today and this was the best of them that I hadn't recorded for awhile i.e. it had fewer mistakes than others although there are still a few as you'll notice.
Anyway it's just to show I'm still trying and also that I'm quite pleased with the tone from the Cube40XL now but wish my playing could do it justice

Hi Rosemary, playing is coming along fine, what pup settings are you using, i always found neck for the intro then middle for the main theme with plenty of palm muting best, middle 8 part no muting Mid pup, try to play over neck/mid pup as it gets rid of the trebly/tinny tone. Keith

Hi Keith
Thanks for listening. To be honest I can't remember what I used as I had a bit of a marathon practice session (4 hours) and by this stage I think I played it with whatever pickup and tone setting I was using last just for practice. Next time I record it I'll adjust the tone and try to get a bit less treble - and learn the ending too

Later I compared the tone with the original Shadows version and it was the first thing I noticed too (I'm not talking about the difference in playing of course - just the tone difference)

Best wishes
Rosemary
