I think Geronimo is one of those songs recorded in the "transitional" period from Strat to Burns and personally I was never sure which guitar Hank used on the original recording, but listening to Gégé's fantastic version, I'd say it was the Burns!!

According to Malcolm Campbell's book "A pocket guide to Shadow Music", Geronimo was recorded in december 1962, around a year before it was released.
Were the Shadows already using Burns guitar for recording at this time ? difficult to say...
Gégé's Burns is a 2004 Marvin signature model.

8-) I've heard a lot of players trying to achieve the ultimate playing and sound of the Shads stuff and I truly think Gégé is one
player who definitely does reach the "spot on" in both!! I listen to him with my eyes closed and could swear it also could have been the
Shads themselves on these vids... I am really inspired by you Gégé and am doing my best to get there too playing/soundwise!!
Thank you for being an example for all of us...

Ernie
