HERE I STAND by Jet Harris-DUET by Ian and Salvo
Jet wrote this tune in the late 80’s (1988) for his former wife. Originally titled “Jacqueline” (and you can almost hear that name in the “hook”) and released on “Jet Harris and Tangent – Live” , at some point Jet re-named it “Here I Stand” and re-recorded it for his “The Phoenix Rises” CD in 1999 .
This version is my own interpretation and features the amazing talent of Salvatore Cerami on Harmonica.
BT is my own – BIAB etc etc as usual, with Roland synth for the Intro, Outro and fills etc. – thanks JJ.
Alan Brason Strat – Kinman FVs (split neck and bridge) – Behringer Trem pedal – Alesis Q2 patch 11 – Korg Ampworks AC15 setting-straight to Cakewalk GT Pro2.
I have no idea what make of Harmonica Sal plays – but it sounds wonderful!!
There is some light hiss and pop on the file which comes part from the BT and part from the trem pedal. The original wav file of my BT disappeared sometime ago when my hard drive crashed. Happily one of my friends had an mp3 of it and sent it back to me. De-hissing the track robbed too much of the dynamics so in the end I didn’t bother.
