Hi Spike.
Love the siren pan at the start. It's better than the TV show version. The sound suits the show. Good one.
Regards Geoff.

Good one Spike - this is a tune that I had never imagined as a guitar instrumental but it works well. :)

Some good guitar playing as well.

Hi Everyone

Thanks for having a listen and for taking the time to comment.

THIS TUNE WAS DONE BT GARY…NOT ME…its fairly obvious. :D
Gary always thought that THE BILL had one of the great TV themes but, interestingly enough, when the series first appeared in 1984 the theme had no melody - it was, to all intents and purposes, a backing track and the tune that we now all recognise didn't appear until about 1988. So, Gary had this little bee in his bonnet to dig out the original theme on Youtube and play the tune on guitar. Gary felt it seemed to work rather well as a guitar instrumental - something The Shadows might have done if they'd thought of it...

Gary added that it was fun to do not least of all because it's not in the usual 4/4 time and isnt quite sure what the actual time signature is (Hopefully one of the members might tell us) but it has the kind of beat that more or less guarantees anyone dancing to it will end up in a rather untidy heap. (Humpty Dumpty 1-2-3-4) :D :D :D

If anyone fancies having a crack at it you can find the original theme here. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OdQYX93_13U
Gary beefed it up a bit by adding some extra rhythm guitars, gluing on the siren bit at the front, and also making up the bit in the middle where the synth player goes bonkers.

Cheers
Spike
