Blue Shadow (The Apaches) + BT & Free TAB

Hi Everyone..
Here’s a nice simple little waltz with a country sound.
The song came from “The Apaches play the hits of the Shadows”
http://avaxhome.ws/music/instrumental/t ... adows.html
The album was first released something like 15 years ago for £2-99 and was really good value. I can’t find any info on The Apaches that made the album – I’m guessing
they were session musicians put together to sell a compilation CD.
(There is another band called the Apaches but not the same as made this album)
The strange thing is The Shadows never played this one. They do have a song called Blue shadows but it’s not the same song.

My Son Andrew made the BT for me and wrote the Music score and Tabs.
The Music score & Tabs are free to download from my website if anybody wants to give it a try. http://www.philmcgarrick.co.uk/scores.html
And the BT is available to purchase as an instant download here :-
http://www.philmcgarrick.co.uk/CD.html

Setup:-
Alan Brason custom strat – Kinman HX pickups into BOSS CS2 Compressor/Sustainer – Alesis Q2 EFTP patch 0-36, Delta M-Audio sound card – Cubase SX 5
Hope you like “Blue Shadow”
Cheers Phil

Hi René,
Yes it's been around for a long time, still cant find out who the Apache's are.
Interesting you are from Denmark - My mate Richard Cooke (Drummer) is in a shadows tribute band in Denmark and I believe by coincidence they are going to record this as one of the tracks on their new CD with Joytrack.
All the best.. Phil

Hi Phil
Ace!!
Not so much Shads, more C&W in feel to my ears. Very catchy after a couple of play throughs - gets stuck in your head.
Maybe it was a "filler" on the album? But whatever its a great track, excellently played as always and the BT is superb too.
All those double stops!! You cruel xxxxx!!!
DLing the BT and tab was quick and easy too - it'll give me something to mess around with tonight.
cheers
ian

Hi Phil, very nice and enjoyable. I have to say it reminds me of McCartney's " Mull of Kintyre" in alot of aspects. Good job

Cheers

Nels

Many thanks Ian and Nels for your replies.
Sorry about those double stops Ian, they'll come second nature after a bit.
Andrew says thanks for buying the BT

Nels - yes now you come to mention it - it does have shades of Mull of Kintyre.
Nice to do a country waltz for a change.

All the best.. Phil

Hi again, Phil.

Yes, I know who Richard are. I´ve met him once at one of our club meetings. A very nice guy.
Have you been in Denmark before?
Indeed The Apaches are "Men Of Mystery", but I really hope someone can give us
a hint about who they are..
By the way, Phil.. Have your daughter recorded an album yet?

All the best
René
