This one for Eric: "GUITAR THEME" with a Gibson?

Eric,

I think you heard this one a long time ago, but you don't remember the guitar and I made a slideshow for it of which I know that you are going
to like the last picture.
It sounds like a Gibson, doesn't it?.
In 2006, I found out about Billy Mure and someone sent me a couple of his tunes. I loved his style and wanted to play his
"Guitar Theme". I couldn't find a midi file on the web, so I took his original recording and removed the lead
It worked (sometimes it doesn't) and I play the melody.

If you haven't heard it, here it is "Guitar Theme"

Glad you liked it,

Eric,
I definitely will check your Filleted Place, I necver expect to see you doing Shads covers except for nthe last one you did that took me
by surprise, I think it was Peace Pipe. Did you hear Charles Campbell's version of (I don't remember) but it was superbly original).

Jim,
You will be surprised but that was my very first Strat, a Chinese Squier I got for $125 in 2000. It had a 70 headstock which I didn't like so I ground it
to make it look like a regular strat (see picture).
Later on, in 2006, I had a technician in Santa Clarita make one of the Tone button a Push Pull button, and that's what I used
to play "Guitar Theme", I think I am using the Bridge and the Neck pups together.

Cheers,
Abel

Abel, do you have to use special scotch tape on the Midi pickup to get your sound?

Jim,

I am dedicating this guitar now exclusively for the Roland synth.
The scotch tape is because the double sided tape underneath the midi pup ids not sitcky anymore.
At the time (2006) when I recorded Guitar theme, it was just a regular guitar that I used among the others
and it had the push pull button on top, so well suited to Jazzy tunes.

Abe, I swapped my G20 for a GR55.
Amazing.
Combination of modelled guitars and guitar synth.

Eric,

I am pretty happy with my Roland GR-20 and I don't have the means to get a GR-55 really.

Regarding Billy Mure, very few people know about him, including me until someone told me in 2006

When you see his achievements (see list below), you realise how much his silent contribution was to the music industry:
