Farewell my Lovely (Video)

This is a beautiful song written by the French composer/guitarist Pierre Teodori.
The Shadows included it on their "Steppin' to the Shadows" album and this is based on The Shadows version.

I used Ian McCutcheon's backing track from his workout (2008) CD.
I didn't use tabs, but all Ian's BT's are Tab'd by Tony Clout.

My usual set up - Live recording using Samson wireless transmitter to reach the Alesis Quadraverb Q2 with echoes from the past patch 0-36 then into computer sound card and cubase. (no amp)

Video made using 2x Sony SR12's combined with cubase soundtrack and edited in Sony Vegas 9.
Hope you like Farewell my Lovely.
Cheers Phil

Hi.
Nice one Phil. One of my favorite, later , Shadows numbers.
Pierre turned up at the Shadowmania friday night get together a couple of years ago and he didnt disappoint when he got up and played the number.
As usual, super sound and playing from you Phil. Good one.
Regards Geoff

Thanks Geoff, yes I wasn't at the Shadowmania friday night do that year but I have seen the video of him playing this song and "A heart will break tonight" from Gillian's video's.
He's a great composer/guitarist and I enjoyed playing this one to Ian's BT.
Many thanks for your comment.. Cheers Phil

Hi Phil
You must be reading through my list of "Ian's Favourite Tunes"! :D
A wonderful track by Pierre Teodori and expertly played. Great sound, Phil.
The Shads version of this was the first one I ever heard and it stuck with me until I bought Pierres album and his original version just blew me away.
Maybe Pierre one day will release his BT - (he's been saying he "might" for years) but until then Ian's BT is first class.
Super job, Phil and I especially enjoyed the Outro from 3.23 onwards - attention to detail, split pickups and lovely runs and fills - or if that 'Phils'? :?:
Super, smashing, nice!!
cheers
ian

Hi Ian, yes I would love to play along to Pierre's BT - To be honest the Outro bit took longer to learn than all the rest of it reason being,
The Shadows version, Ian M's and Pierre's are all different so in the end I did my own thing.

Glad you liked it and many thanks for commenting.
Cheers Phil
