The Shady Lady - Anyone know it ?

Hi All,
Has anyone heard this Shadows' penned tune before ?
Tony Kiek asked me to do it ... and many thanks to him. I liked it from the first and Interestingly it even sounds familiar on the first listen. Listening is where the familiarity ended ! Quite a tricky little tune to get right .. at least for me it was.
We can't understand why it is not more well known ... not another BT in sight and no record of any other attempt ... just had a thought maybe that's a bad sign !

The BT is a Tony Kiek revamp .. he will probably add details later.
Hope you enjoy and all (or no) comments welcome.

Sorry to disappoint. But Ian McCutcheon got to the South Pole first, so to speak, on Workout #15.

I didn't know it and having heard it I won't miss not hearing it again - which I guess is the reason for having never been aware of it before. Though played well enough, as a tune, it's that forgetable :?

Hi George and Tony, I think this was the B side to Theme from Missing, anyway you play it well and the BT is good too. regards Gary. BTW I think P Korving covered this a while back.

Hi George,
I've just been listening to The Shadows version on the Shadows Collection CD (It may be on others)
and Ian McCutcheons version on Shadows workout 15 and yours.
I have a very big respect for Ian McCutcheon and Tony Keik's work on their backing tracks and I would be very happy using either backing track they are both Excellent !!!
Your playing followed every detail that Hank put in on the original (So Does Ian's) - A very time consuming number to learn but the end result is excellent.

Loved it.... Phil

Hi Michael, Dave, Gary and Phil,
Thanks for taking the time to listen and comment, much appreciated.
With such a reassuring chord progression :D and interesting melody, most people seem to like it on 1st listening.

It is a terrific little Hank "jigsaw puzzle" which was very interesting to put together and If both Ian McCutcheon and Pete Korving have covered it, that's good enough for me. :P
cheers
George

Hi George
I enjoyed that!
A tune I dont know at all - like many Shads tunes, I suspect.
A clever little foray into Bb from D at a completely different tempo and style makes an interesting diversion and so does that nice little key change to E at the end.
I dont think I'd be patient enough to ever learn all those Hankisms and Bravo to you for doing them so well.
Ace!!
cheers
ian
