And here it is, I'd forgotten I'd played the last bit in harmonics.

Ah yes, I remember it very well. The way you play this song gives a certain melancholy pipe quality to the sound of your your guitar, which I like very much . . . and of course, the harmonics are something else !!! As for the BT, I remember you trying to get it it right with the characteristic wah-tremolo, especially in the intro, but also in other parts of the song. After several attempts you nailed it pretty well. All in all, a very expressive interpretation and an excellent BT !!

Cheers,
Boing.

Hi Ecca,
A smashing accurate to the original BT and played with lots of feeling.
Wish I had your BT when I did my recording..
Cheers Phil

Thanks Phil and Boing.
I gave the BT away when I did it, it's out there somewhere.
I used to give them all away but I got fed up of people using them without acknowledgement and even worse claiming them for their own like some tosser with a Spanish name on the Ozzie site did once.
If you want it I'll send it you.
Cheers
Ecca

Fantastic....tour de force Ecca... Great all the way through - but you particularly nailed it from 2.08 thru' to the end....some really lovely bends and swell....and great sustain on the final note...difficult on high register notes.

Super!

Tony

Yes like Bojan I recall the enquires into the guitar sound and you then put this together and it was indeed a great effort. I think the folks at the Shaddlers would like to hear it while we stuff ourselves on their cobs on Tuesday. :D

Loved that Ecca 8-) Great control of the bends and great interpretation.

As for the wah wah mention, was that not done with a flanger on the original?

Cheers all .
Boing- you are now an honorary member of the Shaddlers.
I will prepare a certificate.
Bread's original intro and wah wah effects were done by coupling the guitar into a Moog synthesiser using it's tone shaping circuits, VCF and VCO principally. I used a plug-in VST and recording automation within Adobe Audition. It took me quite a while to get it right.
The swell effects were violined as was the apparent infinite sustain note at the end combined with much finger waggling.
The guitar was Cakey through a little tichy Tonelab whatsit that was £19.
