Carillon Video

Carillon came from the album SKY.
Sky is the debut album by British classical/progressive rock band Sky, released in 1979.
It featured John Williams on the classical Nylon string guitar which I've tried to copy using my sons Ramirez 1a guitar .
Later in the song the mood changes into a screaming PRS . I recorded this by cranking up the VOX AC30 to full volume! and used a condenser mike placed 20 feet away.
A small amount of Compression/sustain using Boss CS2 pedal , but no distortion added.

This is the 2nd track I've recorded from Ian McCutcheon's Excellent work out 17 CD.

Hope you like Carillon...

Thanks very much Alan, Keith and Ian for your nice comments.
A bit of a different one for me - It was great to wind the AC30 up to full volume.
Son Andrew was with me at the time and wore ear plugs  It sounds so much better
when you crank it up , lucky the wife was out at the time :D

Off to Guinness heaven (Dublin) in a couple of hours for half term have to get in Irish folk song mode.

All the best... Phil

Phil - hope the black gold is going down well...

Great versatility shown here - contrasting styles pulled off with aplomb... The windows were intact after the PRS recording, so I reckon it wasn't loud enough....

Great job as usual,

Tony

Tony - yes the black stuff is going down well  And the WI-FI works in the hotel bedroom :o
Glad you liked the song there's not many where you can go from a classical to a Rock sound in the same song.
Yes the windows are still intact thank goodness.

Many thanks for the comment.. Cheers Phil
