Menta y Limón (Mint & Lemmon)

Hello friends!

Here’s my instrumental arrangement and rendition from an original sung tune from the 80’s made by the argentinian pop singer and composer Roque Narvaja.

The echo I used is Alesis Q2 EFTP 2009 version, patch 0-71 Long Tom 456 together with a preset patch from the Magicstomp called Smoothie. Also I used Vintage Cable Simulator, Boss CS-2 Compression Sustainer and Cuttin’ Edge Filter.

The backing track belongs to Estudio Alexander www.alexander.com.ar

The guitar is a Reverend Wolfman model.

Here is the link:

Please, give it a listen.

Regards,
Marcelo.

Hello Lynn!
Hello Barry!

Please try again. Inmediately after I uploaded, youtube interrupted the service for maintenance. I think it probably work now.

Regards,
Marcelo.

Hi Marcelo!

I love the sound of the guitar - it really reminds me of the Hank solo stuff, particularly 'Slaughter on 10th Avenue' and 'Love and Occasional Rain'.... I tried to get something like it on my last track - but failed!!!

Well done mate - great ad for VOX too!!!

Best

Tony.

Thank you, Tony!

I'm glad to know you enjoyed the tune and the guitar sound. I like to move around this pop sound sometimes.
You made me smile about the VOX ad. I adopted it as a seal and partner.

Regards,
Marcelo.

Hi Marcelo

I've already said on a two other sites how much I like your rendition of this number which I have never previously heard. I am intrigued by the Reverend Wolfman guitar. Can you tell me anything more about it? I must confess that I have never heard of that one before.

Regards
Len

Hello Len!

These epoxy made Reverends were made in USA and are discontinued now, although you can get them used (as I did). Now Joe Naylor (I think it's Reverend's owner name) produces new models made in Korea. You may visit Reverend's site at http://www.reverendguitars.com/ there you'll see all the history about these guitars. I like this Wolfman very much for its special sound and because it's very friendly to manage.

Regards,
Marcelo.

Hello Charles!

Glad to know you enjoyed it, friend!

What a pity to know this about the parcel. The address is right the way I wrote you last time. I'm begining to believe destiny is saying no. I may say another address to try, but my face would fell off if I ask you to try one more time. All I can say is thanks for all your tries and sorry for all the worries.

Regards,
Marcelo.
