ROUNDING THE CAPE-Ian and his RealBand

This tune has been around a while – since the Dutch brothers Tol wrote and recorded it in 1989.
Been on the Forums many times but I thought I would try and be a little different without spoiling the Melody so this version has a brand new backing track that I made in RealBand, part of Band In A Box.
Usual kit – Brason Strat-Q2 Patch 11-Cakewalk GTPro2. Nothing else.
Cheers
Ian

Ian
Excellent sound on the guitar and I do like the ersatz piano accordion on the track -- accordion and the theme of the sea are complements.
I wonder if the rendition is a tad on the fast side.
regards
Michael

Is Real Tracks like BIAB proper to work with ?
I've not used it yet.

Hi Ian - you are certainly the RealBand/ BIAB expert

I thought the BT sounded excellent loved all the instruments.
Great sound from those Kinman's and Brason Strat and perfectly played.
Very well done... Phil

Thank you for the feedback guys – always much appreciated.
Michael – yes, it is a tad quick. I set up at 120 bpm and I believe the original is 115. I COULD have slowed it a bit in Audition 1.5 but I kinda got used to it.
Ecca – RealBand follows on from Biab. You can only do so much in Biab, which is primarily, in my mind anyway, an Arrangers tool before you transfer to RB. You can set up a brand new song in RB but it won't allow the re-gens that Biab will. RB allows you to import extra RealTracks instruments / midi tracks etc etc and can be your DAW as well. I still export to my Cakewalk as the RB DAW is still a bit of an unknown territory at the moment.
Mike – glad you enjoyed it.
Phil – I'm getting used to my Biab a bit more now but compared to some on the PGMusic Showcase I'm still in the very early stages. It's fun though.
cheers
