HERE I STAND-Tribute to Jet Harris

Today, the18th March, marks the second Anniversary of the passing of Jet Harris.
Jet will be remembered for many things, his humour, his early lifestyle maybe, but his huge contribution to The Shadows and their early sound (as well as the name itself!) is without doubt as is the music he played solo.
“Here I Stand” is one of his lesser known tracks. Written by Mike Porterfield for Jet in the late 80's, it has the distinction of being the last tune that Jet and Brian (Licorice) Locking played together, shortly before Jet died.
I make no apology for re-issuing this Sound File to mark the day. The wonderful harmonica playing is my good friend Salvo Cerami who is as good a guitar player as he is a harmonica player.
The guitar is my usual Brason Strat with Neck+Bridge selected.
BT is mine, essentially made in an old version of Band In A Box with Synth added by John Jeffree.
Apologies in advance for maybe not replying to any posts but from Tuesday, 19th March, my Internet will not be available for two weeks!!
cheers
ian

Hi Ian & Salvo - A beautiful piece of music very sensitively played, love the tremolo double stops and harmonica playing - a lovely tribute to Jet.
All the best... Phil
