Hi Guys

Gary and Paul got together and knocked up this tune. Its not your normal Shads sound but the TVS3 was used and it shows a different side and flexibility of this unit

go to this link
http://www.tvsspecialtyproducts.com/

then click on the jukebox button. its the last tune on the list... #87

Great playing and a fine piece of recording and production.........BUT........I couldn't avoid missing the wonderful voice of Phil Lynott.

Great stuff ........Baz

Hi Baz,

Thanks for having a listen and for your kind comments. I understand what you are saying about missing Phil (or GM) up front and thought that we might be taking a bit of a risk doing something as iconic as this tune in Gary Moore's style, but it is a nice change from trying to accurately reproduce the sound of The Shadows. We're now looking around for some other Moore/Gilmore/U2 tunes to have a crack at.
Regards
Paul.

Nice playing.
How about where the streets have no name?

I thought the TVS 3 could not do The Edges's multi/complex delays patterns Paul?

Hi Stuart,

I have already had a rough go at Streets but the melody is rather plain, consisting of only about 5 notes! The intro/ending guitar riff is easy to reproduce (attached) with quite straight forward echoes: just one delay at about 352mSec with a few repeats and a lower-level single one at about 523mSec, though Edge does pan these left and right while the TVS3 is mono.

Regards,

Paul.

Ripper!

That's got everything - tone, ballance, great phrasing, and what this tune deserves - ''ENERGY''. Super recording with great feeling - very impressive Gary. I reckon we are only hearing half of your true talent. Full marks to Paul too.

My kind of number - really enjoyed it.

Thanks for posting Spike.

Cheers,
John
