I have purchased this and it looks in great condition for 53 years old. It comes in the original plush lined case. As you would expect the gold has faded somewhat. Two owners from new the recent owner had it since 1972. May post some photos when it arrives.

Someone stated that this new acquisition many be of interest to the site.\
The guitar was originally purchased in 1961. The second owner, was a friend and had used it for a number of years and finally purchased it in 1972. The condition is very good and all original apart from the neck binding being replaced in 1989. The unusual thing on this model is that it has a brass secondary plate. These were normally fitted to the model with te cradle bridge. Most of the gold has faded away but she plays very well indeed great action, no buzz or electrics noise. Even the case is in wonderful condition.\
The guitar was also the subject of an article in Making Music

That's a nice example of the model. Is the headstock the same paint finish as the body? Maybe it's just the angle or the lighting but it looks almost a brownish colour.

Hi Denis - I think the vibra artiste de luxe was the first guitar to use the new logo and as you say it was used on the 4 pick up bison. Paul Day was very generous and gave me several transfers of that logo in different colours.

I also meant to mention the tremolo arm is very curved with lots of detail on it. Not seen this on Vibra Artistes or other models
