On EBay recently from ishibashimusic Japan was this 'Burns Bison'! I emailed them concerning its real identity and after thanking me by email they promptly removed it from auction -no doubt it will re-appear in the near future correctly named.
Pics for ref, a 'Marvin S' in colours I have not previously seen.
Any comments?

Looks like a custom shop job, Bill, probably from the 90's or early 2000's.
All the best,
Nick

Hank sig. on trem plate, but 'Legend' neck plate suggests a custom job, or what?

I saw the Atlantis up for sale a while ago. Did your friend buy it?
All the best,
Nick

No my best friend owned it from new and still does

it was our idea during a gig ( Atlantis being my fav Shadows track .He commisioned that guitar from Barry Gibson ( Atlantis and the sea etc the top looks like the ocean ) and i think that it was fitted with a NOS burns neck with AAAA maple fretboard i also remember that his name is also engraved on the rear neck plate . Lovely sound really open and deep we used to play as a duo covering Shadows numbers etc and it used to be brought out quite often .But the best burns i have ever heard or played was his Duck Egg Blue Drifter one special guitar

As George correctly suggests, it isn't really a Marvin. It's a Legend. The Marvin wasn't officially reintroduced until 2004 when the Anniversary models were released.
Is that a left-handed tremolo arm?

You're right, Jim, it is a l/h trem. And a Legend would not have Hank's sig. on the plate... Hmmm.
