Yamaha Bass Stage 120

Hi,
In the near future I shall play bass at a theater, so I just bought this beauty on eBay. 120 W, 1*12", connection for PA, tuner, pedals etc. It really stands out for bass (I'm using a Fender Precision), but I found out that it also delivers for guitar. Even if I put my accoustic into the send return (aux) it delivers. It must be a very rare combo, because there are no manuals or other information on the internet or from Yamaha. Does anyone here know anything about this amp? I wonder, if playing guitar can hurt the speaker, as there is more high frequency from a guitar than from a bass. Am I just imagining things?
Best regards
Shindig

There are no reasons why playing guitar with a bass amp might damage the speaker. The signal from a bass is far more demanding for the speaker than a standard guitar.
If you like the sound, go ahead with no risks.

HI
playing guitar through a bass amp will not harm it in any way
playing bass through a guitar amp would not be recomended as most guitar speakers cannot handle
the lower frequncies that a bass at volume produces.
i have a couple of guitarist friends who use bass combos for guitar as they prefer the sound through a 15" speaker?
it gives a much more mellow full sound, i would guess a 12" bass speaker has the same effect.

Regards
Jay

Hi,
Thank you so much for the answers. I really like playing jazz guitar through this amp, so it was nice to know that I was worried for no reason. However, it seem that noone has ever heard of this amp before or know where to read about it????
Happy new year.
