I've used them in the past and didn't find them remarkable. I thought Elixirs better...

BTW Just opened a fresh pack of Rotosounds for a Les Paul style guitar. Inside the pack they were date stamped 2013... and there were patches of rust on the plain strings!

I use D'Addario 11-49 EXL 115 bright tone nickel wound on my MIM strat for early shads tune
and 10-46 on my Squier CV 50's both give a very good tone and are durable and last.

Hi Alexis, I am using PYRAMID Pure Nickel 10-46 at the moment and think they are Fine.I have used just about every make of strings over the last 50 odd years and find that there is not much to choose between the Well Known Makes so usually get whats on offer. I happen to prefer the tone from Pure Nickel strings.Cheers Phil. :D

I use D'addario 11-49 XL on most of my guitars these days. On my vintage 57 reissue strat I put a 12 on the top string seems better. Usually like a 15 plain G string. On another strat I built I use the 10s as the PU's are more modern fuller sounding and suits better. It has a variable humbucker on the bridge which can go from single coil to full humbucker by turning a tone knob.

The plectrum matters as well ! I use 1.14mm thickness.

ELIXIR, because I don't like to change strings after every gig. They keep their sound a very long time.

I have used the Dunlop in past, but moved to Celluloid 1.14mm. There is a small difference in tone between 1mm and those which I prefer.

Ordered 10 1.14mm from eBay should be with me in a few days and then I will see how they compare
I must admit I did look at the Celluloid ones but thought I would stick with what I have been used to that's
what getting old is like not easy to change old habits :D

Where did it break? Could there be a rough/sharp area on the bridge etc?
