Hi all,

I have managed to buy a rare ATLANTIS 1 echo,for £630.
It is not the tube loaded model,(only 10 made) but it is still quite rare as only 300 were made of the one I own.
I only got this unit yesterday and have had a couple of hours, seeing what it can do. The echo patterns I cannot fault.

Seems to me this unit needs to be used with a pre-amp of some sort,as the actual TONE seems lacking.
I,m thinking that the tube loaded model would maybe sound a bit better,as the front end is moddelled on the EF86.
I do have a HERITAGE VOX AC15 with an EF86 Channel, and a QUADRAVERB GT, with a pre-amp section so I will try that.

Wondering if any of you guys have owned one of these units?

regards

Stephano

I have owned and used one for several years
See my posting from yesterday

Hi all

Congratulations to Stephano with his Atlantis 1.
I have or had owned, most of the echo units.

The one that stands out, was a Atlantis 1, limited edition with gold plated knobs.
I bought it for 900 Euro, and sold it after several years. for 900 euro, which I totally regret.
The sound was outstanding, and though not programmed, I did use it for live performance.

I did a total change in my live set up, with echo units (EFTP og now Halls Echo) in a pedalboard with other effects, useful for live jobs.

Listen to this tune, recorded, with guitar direct in the Atlantis, then The Atlantis in to a Carl Martin Rock Bug (preamp, and the in to a har desk recorder.
