I watched a few minutes of Tears for Fears in concert on BBC 4 last night. I was pleasantly surprised to see Roland Orzabal playing a red Fender Stratocaster through a Vox AC30 amp! Now, given that the AC30 only came about in the first place because Hank asked Vox for something more powerful than an AC15, it was a double whammy... so to speak! I'd like to think that the guitar/amp combination was no coincidence. It may have been, but since Orzabal is 58 I think it's safe to assume that he was aware of the Shads and Hank when he was young. Anyway, here's a snap I took off the telly...
