Wilkinson 6-in-line E-Z-LOK Mini Oval Button Guitar Tuners

I am looking to replace the tuners on my 1994 Encore (Strat).
I was going to replace like with like - but for the small extra it looks like these make re-stringing easier.
Seems the cheaper locking tuners have issues with holding the "E" string according to reviews.

These tuners effect the lock by way of the two holes.
Thread the first hole and pull the string tight (like you do with proper locking tuners) do a wrap and thread the second hole.

Has anyone used these?

Hi Stuart I have these on a Vintage V6 strat and find them excellent, they also have staggered post heights.

Neville

The Wilkinson tuners arrived yesterday.
I fitted them today.
They are excellent.
I had to counter drill the headstock - which was the hardest thing about the installation.
This is a Cheap Encore Strat - but I hammered it for an hour and half this evening and it stayed in tune!! :P
Thanks for the replies to my initial post.
Job Done!

I bought some for my CV Strat, but I need to also get a set of reamers to enlarge the post holes so they fit...

Martin.
I used a 10mm drill. Only drill the depth of the shoulder - not all the way through.

Good luck.
