After a gruelling exercise in learning how to programme these incredible machines, I finally cracked the vintage Shadows tone, along with the echoes, that we all call That Sound. I now have to work out how to save onto a stick and be able to share with others.
I will be back hopefully after our gigs this weekend and try and demonstrate my findings. :)

It’s a wicked piece of kit, daunting at times with so many and almost unlimited amount of variables.
I love using the Hall & Collins unit, but the thought of having everything or even the basic of echoes within the Kemper is the way forward. I’m sure the rig exchange will soon have a few profiles with hank type of delays. There is one I found but wasn’t that impressed compared to the likes of say Q2 or Even a Zoom 508 ! Anyway TVS will take some beating for sound.

Hi Dave,
It’s good to know that you’re getting your head around the Kemper mate.
I’m slowly learning how to use all the bits and pieces.
So far, l’ve got a great HM modern sound.

You may already know Dave, but maybe useful to others, that if you call up the 'delays' section, there are two effects under 'serial two tap delay - MARVIN and SHADOWY.

Maybe a good starting point?

Yes Clive I found those and although usable are not very accurate.
I've since discovered how to get the echoes to the same timings as the Meazzi for the original Shadows tunes, along with the parameters to fine tune them and get a very close sound. To achieve this I use the quad taps and rhythm section, but still learning :)
