Hello everyone,

I was wondering whether someone could point me in the right direction, I have two Japanese Hank Marvin Stratocasters one with the easy mute system but the tremolo has become quite lose, I have the chrome on both of these and would like to have them both fitted with gold fittings and would like new pickguards like those used by Hank. If I’m honest I’m not practical in doing it myself, and probably would need to go to a professional to do it, but at least if I purchased these first I could take them to that professional to fit for me.

I would be grateful for any help received.

Hi Chris you can get a small spring that drops into the tremolo hole and then you wind the arm back in this takes up the slack. I did pm you if you need gold plating. contact Elite luxury gold plating ltd ask for Jason he did my trem arm phil

Hi Chris,

From what I recall I don't think the Easy-mute has a spring in the tremolo arm hole, if you push the the arm down slightly there should be a small grub screw at the back of the block for tensioning the arm.

i had an easy mute system without the grub screw it depends on what was done on the block etc as there where various stages that you could have done phil
