It's a late transistor model, not what the dedicated anorak would want . . . . . . has to be valves !

It says in the text that it reminds him of a WWII ammunition box, best thing for it at that price - I'll stick with the Copicat. ;)

A transistor Meazzi will give you better analogue tone than a digital unit, but won't provide that "X Factor" magic that the circuits of valve Meazzis instantly can. Don't think you can buy it and get it altered to valve either, as unfortunately the heads are different specifications and will only work properly with a transistor circuit.

A shame.

Dear fellow "That Sound/Meazzi" researchers,
I don't have any sisters so feel objectively qualified to contribute with the following observations.
...
hmmmm
...
hmmmmmmm
...
Well, it's slipped my mind for the moment but would have been pretty good ... I think.

Anyway, in these matters I'm happy to be guided by Justin's view because his ears are not 60 +, and riddled with 60's excess noise syndrome ,and he can play the middle eight for Man of Mystery.

Also, Dave has meticulously tested every variation of every variation of every Shadow's echo/sound/amp thingy, and is THE standard for our reference. If Dave says sisters are no match for valves, that''s good enough for me. (Geez Dave, wish you were there in '62 before all that trouble with the bass player's sister.)

cheers
George
