Zoom Guitar Lab

I have a Zoom G3 and use MAC with OS Ventura 13.6.1 and I cannot connect the Zoom G3 to Zoom Guitar Lab.
I have Hall´s Echo on the G3, and I love the patches.
I used to have Edit&Share on my old MAC which does not work anymore, but Edit&Share it does not work on 64bit.
I am afraid to loose the patches. I have my g3xa files, but if I can not upload to my G3, I'm lost.
Tried Guitar Lab.
Display says " No Device Found"
Tried every trick I can come up with but no luck.
Someone have a tip what's wrong and how I can fix it?
Do I need to buy a newer Zoom?
Will I be able to upload the Hall´s g3xa files on a new device?
A lot of questions but hope to get some help.
Help will be appreciated.
Sven

I can't help with the connection issue, but I can tell you that you can't load g3xa files onto a newer device, e.g. G3Xn. I have a G3Xn and it's impossible to load those files. I think they are all pretty much device specific.
Unless... someone else knows different!

I might be wrong here but I suspect that the Zoom G3, the original one, doesn't work with Guitar Lab. I think you might need the older software editor that was used with the G2nu. I can't remember what it was called but it might still be available on the Zoom site.

The software was called Edit and Share. Not sure if that will work with the latest Mac software either.

Yep, looking on the Zoom site on the G3 page, there is no Guitar Lab, and Edit and Share was only supported on Mac up to 10.12 Sierra.
It does, however, work on Windows 11. So, you could buy a cheap Windows laptop or borrow a friend's PC.

Have you tried ToneLib Zoom.
You can download it here https://tonelib.net/downloads.html
There also is a community forum which can be very useful. https://tonelib.net/forums/
Works on 64bit Mac fine.

Unfortunately, Tonelib also doesn’t support the G3 either. https://tonelib.net/tonelib-zoom-supported-devices.html
Excellent software, though. I prefer the UI to Guitar Lab.

I don’t know if this will help, but some time ago I installed Audacity on my MacBook but found it could not see my Focusrite interface. Anyway after a lot of googling, I found that I needed to activate something in the Mac security settings. After I did this everything was fine. I’m sorry I can’t be more specific as to exactly what I did, only to say it was in the Mac security menu in the Mac settings.

I suspect the OP's issue is not so much a system thing, more just that the software - Guitar Lab - can't see the device as it is not supported.

I just noticed this after a Google.

The edit and share is compatible with os sieara which is 64bit, worth a try just in case!
