I'm sure it was later than that, Roger. the JMI price list of 1965 (I still have one) still differentiates between the AC30 Twin Normal and the AC30 Twin Top Boost.
It lists a
wide range of AC30s, with the top model being... gulp...
...the
AC30 Supertwin Normal II with Reverb and Top Boost, priced at over £200 (it is stated to use two speaker cabinets, though I don't know exactly what that means since I've never seen one).
