Don't suppose there's anyone within spitting distance of the Hankies that has a Roland-ready strat or similar is there ?
I've lost the 2nd and 5th strings on my guitar synth and I suspect it's the pick-up but I want to be sure before I shell out.
Anyone that can bring one for me to try can have a suck of my cob on Tuesday next.

Nothing plays on the guitar synth when I play the 2nd and 5th strings.

I had a quick word with the other guitarist in my band yesterday, as he uses the Roland Hex pickup connected to a VG99 processor. He is sure it will not be the actual pickup itself that is wrong, but the multiple pin plug that is connected to it. it's likely that a couple of those pins are not connecting properly. Maybe damaged or may need a shot of cleaning spray ?
Check it out.
Tony.

I'll give it a spray.
I've tried 3 leads and they all behave the same.

Where's the Hankies?
I have a spare GK3 pickup that you are welcome to borrow.
I am in Surrey.

We're in Staffs Ken.
Bit far away for you but thanks for the offer, I just want to try another pick-up to prove the point.
Cheers
