AC series amps - compare ?

Hi

I am looking at getting a Vox amp (like a JMI but that seems not possible right now)..
Looking at the AC15 or 30 series.

How do the newer AC 15(30) CC compare.. that is to the original AC15 or AC30.
I always have some concerns over the "made in China" thing... yes, I know they are getting better and better.
I have however had some issues with Chinese made lasers ( I do laser light shows) so am a bit cautious here.

I believe there is a new one, the AC 15 (30) C1... anyone tried this new one yet ?
Can a Chinese made Vox really be a Vox ?

Any comments would be really appreciated as I don't want to buy a problem.

Maybe the truth lies with another brand like Fender... (Blues or the Deluxe)

Many thanks :D :D :?:

I have friends who now use Vox AC15-CC1 for stage use (miked for large venues). They are quite happy with the sound and don't need anymore to carry their heavier AC30s.
There has been some fuse problems on early models, but this has been sorted out by using the right value.

The new C1 models are slightly updated from the CC1 range.

i have owned a made in china ac15cc for about 3-4 years now, no regrets at all. there was an issue at one time with blowing fuses but that seems sorted now would never sell mine. on the down side the back up service is terrible or thats what i found very unhelpfull. but a really good amp. peter

Vox customer relations is crap! They dont want to know! My AC30C1 was bought new, but failed just out of warranty. Thankfully Amanda sorted it for me and found the chasis was damaged and bent. As it had never been gigged or left my bedroom it was obviously sold to me in this condition. The dealer had gone bust by this time but Vox said they were not responsible for the condition of their amps at the time of sale! I will never buy another Vox product! :(

Looks like Vox have a bit to learn about customer relations.
