It was a Strat, Sonic Blue, very ,very pale blue . . . . . . I'm looking at it as I write :)
I've just read the description in the book (Beatles gear) and it is described as 'Sonic Blue'. George and John had one each in the same colour.

Yes I remember on a programme about the Strat ( Curves Horns and Body Contours) George Harrison played it on 'Rocky' to the presenter and explained he and John had bought a pair of Sonic Blue ones I think it was and he later painted it with florecent paint and Patti's nail varnish !

The solo in Nowhere man was played by John and George each playing simultaenously a Fender Stratocaster, forgive me if I don't know the colour/PU combination/inside leg etc.
