Hi John. I saw the guitar at the Sheffield show. It's definitely not a Fender logo on the headstock. Could be a Mick Johnson guitar.
Regards Geoff.

It is indeed the Strat Mick made Bruce. Bruce explained at Shadowmania that he had requested Mick that he sprayed it Sunburst as a "nod" to Buddy Holly.

I wonder how the Mick Johnson "Strat" stands up to a Fender Strat?

I understand that Phil Kelly uses his Mick Johnson strat almost exclusively now, he is that impressed with it.

Bruce uses 3 electric guitars in the show. The sunburst on the non Cliff & Shadows / Shadows numbers (Sea Cruise, C'mon Everybody, and Singing the Blues). Mostly he uses the original strat, but swaps out for his backup red one for Sleepwalk, and the following Cliff song, the name of which escapes me now. I think the swap is for a retune after playing The Savage! :)

Richard.

I think the sunburst one was also capo'd which maybe was less confusing than remembering which red one had to be capo'd...

Hi,

I would imagine a guitar made by Mick would be a good one,
I wonder how much a copy of 34346 by Mick would cost?

I believe it's less than £2,000. Of course, that's depending on the prices of the wood and hardware requested.

HTH...

Justin,

In which case if I wanted a replica of it that is who I'd go to,

after all who knows the guitar better than Mick!

Amanda

P.s. got any good pictures of your Meazzi I can put on my site?

No decent pictures yet (apart from the one on my website, which was taken before the alterations were made), but I'll get one or two taken soon for you.
