The Shadows - Drum Music?

Hey guys,

Does anybody know of any drum sheet music for any songs by The Shadows, besides Apache? I'm in need of some for my drum lessons at school as the teacher said it'd be good to do something I actually liked.

Cheers,
Robson

Hi! Robson,
good to catch up with you and the folks at S/Mania. Glad to hear you're into drumming. As far as I remember, this http://www.amazon.co.uk/Hits-Shadows-Of ... 912&sr=1-1 has drum parts in it. The guitar & keyboard parts are pretty accurate too.
If you like other music, this site has some pretty good drum transcriptions too. http://thedrumninja.com/drum-transcriptions/ Best of luck. (listen to Brian Bennett; he'll teach you all you initially would want to know. We don't call him The Guv'nor for nothing.)
Mart.

The publication entitled "Hits of the Shadows - off the record" includes drum music for all twelve of their better known hits.

The ISBN is 0-86359-870-6

Hope that helps

Totally agree with Martin, Brian is the Guv'nor and easy to follow so listen to cd's to supplement any drum parts you get.

Hi Robson, i too totally agree with Martin and Ron about listening to Mr Brian Bennett. Martin and i talked about this a few years back, and we agreed that he had been our Teacher all down the years. (i hope that Mart' can remember our first conversation up in sunny Blackpool!) Listen, listen and listen.....it does pay dividends in my opinion.

Best wishes to you. Richard Cooke-Jarlø.

I do, indeed, remember that conversation, Richard. And I can only repeat what you say. Listen and listen and listen again. And when you've done with listening, listen some more. 'Cos there's still more to learn. Happy listening!
Mart.

Hi, Mart. Look what I found on YouTube last evening. :) Initially, I didn't read the caption and I just hit "play" and then went back to the paperwork I was doing. Then when Chris stepped up the microphone, I suddenly stopped. "Is that... " Yes!

Kind regards,
Donna

Flippin' 'eck!! Where's Max Clifford when you need him?
"Ladies & Gentlemen, we'd like to thank you for being such a wonderful audience; and we'd also like to thank the taxi driver for bringing you both here. If you've enjoyed us, we've been Legend. If you haven't, we've been Shadows Music! But, seriously, if you've enjoyed it half as much as we have, then we've enjoyed it twice as much as you. (You do the maths; it's simple enough!) Now, one last request! ...............WHO'S GOT THE MONEY?.....................What do you mean, "the Concert Secretary's gone home???!!!??????"
Ah! Happy days!!

Love to all..........
