What's happened to the bass music download facility ???

Jay and others very kindly made their basslines available to us on the old site but I understand that this cannot be done on the new site. Well I say BooOO to that, surely they can be posted somewhere, even if it's the photo gallery ? Hopefully there are other bass players out there who agree with me and will press for the return of our bass music download site.

You can still download Jay's excellent Bass sheet music from the old site - though hopefully he will soon upload some more on this new site.

Hi Luigi

As John says, all the old ShadowMusic documents, photos etc. are all still available for you to look at, read and download. Simply go to the "old" ShadowMusic site, now called the Berkshire Shadows Forum, at www.berkshireshadows.org/forums and you will be able to download all those wonderful docs etc.

If you need any help at all with the old site, please let me know at apache@berks-sc.org

All the best
Chris

Hi Jay

Because of the compatibility between the "old" site software and the phpBB in use for this forum, there was no way to duplicate the excellent download facility here in a short time. At the time of the move, I said I would keep the old forum running, with a new name, so that folks could use it to continue to access the old uploads. I also said I would keep it running for as long as I possibly could. I will continue to keep the stuff available for as long as I run a Cliff & The Shadows forum at that site, so as I say, everyone is welcome to continue using it, either just for the archive or as a forum in its own right.

You're therefore very welcome to upload more content to the Download section on the "old" site, both for the folks who want to use it as a download facility and for any new people who pop in from time to time.

Here's a link to the Download area specifically:
http://www.berkshireshadows.org/forums/ ... =downloads

Cheers
Chris

Hello All,

Many thanks for your replies and efforts to get the download facility back on track, much appreciated.
In the meantime I am trying to work out the basslines from the chord sequences. If it says chord B7 does it mean you have to play B seven times, and why is there no chord B3 when you have to play it three times ?

Kind regards, Luigi

Luigi... just ignore to 7th indication and play the root note (the 7 indicates that this is a major chord with the 7th note of the scale added....)
