Another legend gone, my sympathy to her family and friends.

One hundred percent agreed.

RIP, Cilla, a truly great singer and much, much, better than many critics ever wanted to admit.

And certainly the only Epstein act (other than arguably, Paul McCartney himself) to have a long-term career at the top.

See Cilla at her peak, with MW%F, in colour:

A terrible shock indeed. 72 is no age at all these days.

Shadows Club was a bit subdued this evening. We had a minutes silence, then they asked me to play You're My World. Strangely enough, I hadn't played it for a couple of years, then brought it out of retirement for last month's meeting. I was glad to play it again, made a nice tribute.

I enjoyed Paul O' Grady's tribute to Cilla the other night and am delighted to see that the 'Cilla' drama with Sheridan Smith has been repeated, a superb performance by all concerned. All those old guitars and amps and studio shots, I love seeing them.

It was good to see the second part of 'Cilla' screened last night too, it's even better at the second viewing and those instruments are great to see again.
