I believe the Shadows recorded a Tim Renwick composition, not sure if it was specifically written for the Shads.
Does anyone know what it was and which album ?

Many thanks, Luigi

That was The Saturday Western on the "Guardian Angel" album.

Hi,

Tim Renwick has a musical CV which is "mighty". He has played/recorded with most of the top bands in the last 30-40 years. Fortunately for us he lives in Cornwall, I've seen him play with Pink Floyd, Mike and the Mechanics, Al Stewart etc. He is just as good playing with local bands in Cornish pubs.
There's a thought, I'm seeing him play locally soon and will ask him to come along to a Devon and West Country Shads Club meeting, or maybe can persuade Ian and Linda to invite him up to Scarborough sometime.

For anyone interested Tim's website is:

Regards, Luigi

I recall that Tony Hoffman did a feature on him in 'Shadsfax', including an interview. I don't think he had a copy of the shads version of 'Saturday Western' (from Guardian Angel) at that time - but I think maybe Tony sorted him with one.

I think Saturday Western is a great track.

You can see him with Pink Floyd at their 'Live 8' reunion performance..
