The Hellecasters (Jerry Donahue, John Jorgenson, Will Ray) who played with Hank at Wembley c. 1996,
also... Richard Thompson, Jerry Reed, Django Reinhardt, Ry Cooder and my friend Jake Rigby
I listen to many guitarists already mentioned...my favourites are Chet Atkins, Barney Kessel and Duane Eddy.

I omitted Dave Edmunds from my list...check out his finger-picking stuff. His "Alive and Pickin'" album is a great showcase.
