I think Mike Maxfield fully retired from the music business a few years back after suffering a stroke.
No doubt he has the intellectual copyright to the Dakotas name, although no original members are
in the current touring band that back various 60s singers.
Not even sure if they feature the Cruel Sea in their own repertoire?

That could well be now the case but, following his Dakotas days, it seems he set up Maximus Music, specialising mainly in library production music, based in Stockport.
