R.I.P. Chris Jarvis - LEGEND

I am sorry to tell you that my great friend and colleague - Chris Jarvis, bass player with Legend - died this morning at about 5 am surrounded by his family.
Just before the last Shadowmania that the band played, Chris noticed something amiss, but not wishing to cause a problem with the band's appearance, he delayed seeing a doctor. When he did so, this lead to the discovery of a cancer. He's battled hard, as have the doctors, to stem the tide of this disease over the last few years, but eventually all avenues had been explored, to no avail.
Chris was a great man to work with gentle, quiet, determined, reliable and hard working- the rock on which the band was founded. As a musician, he was exacting in his pursuit of John Rostill's legacy, perfecting his sound and technique. Now he leaves a legacy of his own through our memories, and the body of music he recorded. This is a sad, sad loss. I will miss him...
