Not everyones favourite programme, but last Saturdays edition, surprisingly had a performance from
60s singer Mike Berry in the blind auditions!!!
The panel of(ahem!!) expert musical judges didn't seem to know who he was, either that or they pretended
not to recognise him.
He did ok, but of course many of us already know he is exceptionally talented, especially when he was doing
shows with the likes of The Rapiers, Jet Harris, and his renditions of Buddy Holly numbers.
Yes I suppose this has given him current exposure, although I think it was his mate Chas Hodges idea that he
participated.
Anyway his performance is on BBC I player (where you can skip the rest of the hopefuls!!!)

I don't watch this show much now - but following information received I did look out for Mike.
He was obviously talented and professional. I liked his performance.
Seems the panel all realized he was beyond them. They look to the young - and don't want to cater for everyone.

'The Voice' is brilliant for the musicianship of the house band. Whatever the genre - which varies widely - they can do it, live and spot on. A treat for those of us who make our own music. Definitely my favourite programme from the selection available at present.
