Still trying to get my head round this. At first, I wondered if it was another example of Ecca humour, but sadly it was not. I only met him in person at Shadowfix when I played bass in his scratch band which he put together to perform 'This hammer'. No rehearsal, just winging it and it was great fun.

The ShadowMusic family is poorer for his passing. Our thoughts are with his family and close friends.

Devastating news about Eric.
He was a very nice clever man.As well as being a very good guitarist he was highly capable with regard to electrics and electronics and wood work. Eric's abilities may not have shined through with a lot of people because of his great and mischievous sense of humour. He would on an almost daily basis write something very humorous on Face Book which had most of us in hysterics. A great character who will be sadly missed by many.

Very shocked and saddened to hear this news of Ecca.
Heartfelt condolences to his family from myself, Gary and Paul!

He was such a great character and lover of music and loved to be involved internationally in getting the music and the players together.

My most famous example of that is his approach to me and Peter Korving to collab. on the classic Ozzie song..."Waltzing Matilda". Here is my tribute to Ecca:

Thanks for that Spike, it's a lovely reminder and there were many memories of stuff that Ecca did.

Its hard to believe he's gone Dave...he was "larger than life".

He texted me not so long ago about his purchase of a Srtymn Volante delay unit and wanted information on head timings.

Returned his message but heard no further from him which now explains why.

Will be sadly missed!!

So sad to learn of his passing. His posts were gems. I believe, if my memory serves me, he even went and visited Jet, on the Isle of Wight, and posted an account of their conversation.

May he rest in peace.
